The economy of New York’s North Country region is built on an ecosystem of rural small businesses with few to no employees. Owners of these businesses experience significant barriers to accessing the financing needed to advance their goals due to limited capacity and insufficient existing up-front capital. These issues are compounded for individuals who face systemic barriers, including members of low-moderate income, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabilities, immigrant, and other communities historically excluded from entrepreneurship and financing.

While you may know of some CDFI and gap lending agencies who are already doing important work in our region, this webinar will showcase alternative financing solutions that you may not have heard of yet. Bringing more capital into our region is not only better for our businesses, but for our economy as a whole.

ANCA has been working to identify more and diverse lending options that might expand opportunities for individuals who may be traditionally underserved by commercial banks. We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation.
