Community Compost Catalyst Program

Compost for Good and Clarkson University are seeking community-minded champions eager to support their neighbors through project-based food waste reduction, recovery and recycling campaigns.

Our new Community Compost Catalyst program builds upon previous CfG and Clarkson programs by empowering individuals with knowledge and skills to address wasted food challenges relevant to their own communities.

Compost Catalysts are a peer-to-peer network of trained volunteers who are passionate about building sustainable local food and soil systems, and supporting their friends and neighbors with knowledge and resources. They will work in their own communities with the support of our team to develop, promote, or support projects that  reduce wasted food, recover excess food, or transform remaining scraps into healthy soil.

Learn more about this opportunity in our program overview document.

To apply to become a Compost Catalyst, please complete this brief Interest Form.

This program is supported by a Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG) from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
