PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh has been designated a Clean Energy Community by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
This prestigious recognition is part of NYSERDA’s initiative to support municipalities in implementing clean energy solutions and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The town was the first in Clinton County to be designated.
As a Clean Energy Community, the Town has continues to meet milestones in clean energy installations and data monitoring, qualifying it for awards based on its achievements. One of the significant accomplishments includes converting the town’s streetlights to energy-efficient LED lighting.
