RENSSELAER FALLS – Applewood Orchards celebrated their grand opening on Saturday, June 10, with a ribbon cutting ceremony presented by the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, surrounded by family, elected officials, dignitaries, and representatives from local partnerships.

The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce welcomes Applewood Orchards as a new member and recognizes their success as the most recent Business in Transition in St. Lawrence County.

The Brice and Conklin families were excited to take on this new entity and keep the North Country tradition going for families throughout our communities.

“The purchase of Fobare’s Fruits and its evolution as Applewood Orchards is a great example of how entrepreneurial people, with support from the business development community in St. Lawrence County, can keep businesses contributing to our unique region,” said Ben Dixon, executive director of the Chamber. “Applewood Orchards is a huge part of the character of the communities it is a part of, enhancing the quality of life here, providing important recreational opportunities for families and visitors, adding to the diverse local food economy, and contributing to tourism. We are enthused by the energy, creativity, and passion that the new owners are bringing to the venture.”

Applewood Orchards features an Apple Market filled with local goods, a playzone with a new inflatable obstacle course, barnyard sports zone, a pavilion and event house to host special events throughout the season, and of course – apple trees.
