SARANAC LAKE | An upcoming community presentation will help local residents learn about energy efficiency and how to access funding and incentive programs for energy-efficient improvements.

The presentation will be held at the Harrietstown Town Hall Auditorium in Saranac Lake at 6 p.m. Sept. 26 led by Nolan Rishe, energy advisor for the North Country Clean Energy Hub.

“One of our main goals is to help North Country residents make their homes more comfortable, safe, and affordable,” said Rishe. “With programs such as EmPower+, local residents can access funding and incentives to help cover all or some of the costs for their energy efficiency upgrades.”

New York State has funding and incentive programs available for homeowners and renters to help make their homes more energy-efficient. All residents can receive a no-cost energy assessment, where a knowledgeable contractor will study the home and make a plan to improve their energy efficiency. Residents can also learn about the rebates available for heat pumps and home solar systems.
