Grant allots funds to bring local produce to public schools, challenges ensue

The “Drive for 25 Farm to School” grant has secured funds to implement
programs where local farmers can connect with 16 school districts in
Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties.

The purpose of the grant — administered by the Adirondack North Country
Association — is to increase the amount of local produce and other
ingredients served and purchased in public schools.
