<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p>SARANAC LAKE — The Adirondack Farm to School Initiative has won the “One in a Melon” award for "administering an exemplary farm to school program." </p>
<p>One school district program per state was selected for the USDA's Food and Nutrition Service honor by receiving the most public nominations.</p>
<p>“We are so proud of the progress we have made in the past few years, (and) becoming One in a Melon is a real honor," said Saranac Lake School Food Service Manager Ruth Pino in a press release.</p></div></div></div>
