The Drive for 25 Farm to School Grant works with schools, communities and farmers to build healthy Farm to School programs with strong local food procurement in cafeterias. The program enables school districts in Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties to purchase New York State grown and minimally processed food items to serve in K-12 public school meals.

During the past three years of the Drive for 25 Farm-to-School Grant (funded by New York State), ANCA has connected the dots in our regional food value chain to help schools source over 450,000 pounds of 47 local products from 26 farmers, four distributors, and two food hubs, generating over $700,000 in regional economic impact from local food purchases.
