Our Vision & Mission
Vision: A North Country Economy that Works for All
An economy built on local ownership ensures everyone can thrive together in a rural region of small communities and working and wild lands, with the desired amenities, essential services, economic security, and safety and belonging needed to retain opportunity and residents.
Mission: Build shared prosperity across northern New York
ANCA is an independent, nonprofit organization and regional economic hub. Focused on small businesses, climate & energy, local food systems, and welcoming & belonging, ANCA is working to ensure the long-term viability of our one-of-a-kind region, empowering individual wellbeing, economic strength, and regional stewardship.
Our Region:
Our home is the 14-county region encompassing the Adirondack Park and Tug Hill regions of northern New York – home to 6% of New York’s population and occupying 38% of its land area. ANCA is a regional hub that grows funds, ideas, and collaboration to promote both regional-scale and locally tailored economic solutions.
