ANCA Welcomes Strategic Plan Feedback at 2025 Annual Meeting
July 25 meeting will convene constituents and partners at Tannery Pond Center
NORTH CREEK, N.Y. — The Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA) invites North Country community members, business and organization representatives, local government leaders and others to gather in North Creek, N.Y. for the regional nonprofit’s annual meeting on July 25, 2025.
Members of ANCA’s staff and board will share organization updates and stories from their work across the region, and celebrate community leaders who are working to build a strong and inclusive regional economy. ANCA leadership will also unveil a draft of the nonprofit’s next strategic plan and gather final feedback from attendees before its official launch later this year.
The meeting will take place at the Tannery Pond Center in North Creek, N.Y. on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A light breakfast will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to explore North Creek and the surrounding area following the meeting. All are welcome to attend.
“Our team has been diligently working through a thoughtful and inclusive strategic planning process over the past year, and we look forward to sharing a draft plan with our community,” said ANCA Executive Director Elizabeth Cooper. “This annual meeting is an opportunity to hear directly from the people we serve, as well as from partners who work alongside us. All are welcome to join the conversation as we set goals and objectives for ANCA’s next three years.”
ANCA Deputy Director Zach Hobbs has been leading the regional economic nonprofit’s strategic planning process, which has engaged staff, board members, and a variety of stakeholders who are involved in ANCA’s work. These include small business owners, farmers, municipal leaders, educators, nonprofit peers, and other community leaders who work in ANCA’s four main areas of focus: small business, local food, clean energy, and welcoming and belonging.
“This meeting is our first chance to share our next strategy with our community — and the last chance to gather feedback,” said Hobbs. “All who join us will play a hugely important role in helping us shape our work for the next few years.”
At the meeting, ANCA will also celebrate community leaders who are strengthening communities and the regional economy. Hobbs said annual meeting awards will be presented to people or efforts that have been nominated by members of the ANCA community and selected by the entire staff. At last year’s meeting, awardees included Emmett Smith of Northern Power & Light, the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, and Dave Langston and the team at Camp Dudley.
“Every day, the ANCA team works with individuals, organizations, and communities across the North Country, and we feel it’s important now more than ever to recognize and celebrate these partnerships,” Hobbs said. “From people to groups, to works of art and expression, to events and community conversations — we are glad to honor those who are actively engaged in making our region stronger and more welcoming for all.”
ANCA’s 2025 Annual Meeting will take place at Tannery Pond Center at 228 Main Street, North Creek, N.Y. on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The cost of registration is $10 for ANCA Members and $40 for non-members and includes meeting activities and a light breakfast. Attendees are invited to become members when they register. If cost is a barrier, participants may enter an amount of their choosing during the registration process. Registration is open at www.adirondack.org/annual-meeting-25.
