Hadar joined ANCA in August 2026 as a Climate Justice Fellow. In this role, she is focused on the implementation and communication of county-level climate adaptation and resilience plans. She graduated in 2022 with degrees in environmental science, planning, sustainability, and geographic information systems (GIS) from SUNY Plattsburgh before completing her master’s in science communication at Stony Brook University in 2025. At Plattsburgh, Hadar helped lead Late Night for the Planet, a live monthly environmental talk show, which inspired her passion for climate communication. As a graduate student, she was a Sea Grant Scholar Fellow assisting on a project about flooding around Jamaica Bay in New York City. Her research has focused on flooding across New York State, as well as climate change communication strategies to spur personal and collective action-taking. In her free time, Hadar pursues various fiber arts, including cross stitch and needle felting, as well as playing board and video games, reading, and playing with her very energetic cat, Fig.
