Molly Abruzzese

Local Food System Fellow

Molly Abruzzee is from Reading, Massachusetts and is a rising junior at Colgate University majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Sociology. At Colgate, Molly spends most of her time training and playing for the rugby team. When she is not on the pitch, Molly is a trip coordinator for the ski club which allows her to bring other students to experience the slopes. In her spare time, Molly likes to crochet and read.

This summer, Molly is working with ANCA to examine the overall usage of farmers’ markets in the Adirondacks. She will be surveying customers at the markets, asking about what products are bought/sold the most and local food consumption. She is also looking at the usage of SNAP/EBT benefits at local markets in order to make local farmers’ markets more accessible in the future.
