Mary grew up on Long Island, gardening and fishing, which meant always having access to local food. This later inspired a move to Italy in early adulthood, living with a farming family, which further motivated her to work in the travel and food industry for the next 10 years.
With a background in agri-business management, working with farmers and producers alike, she is ServSafe certified, and holds a Better Process Control School Certificate from Cornell.
Amateur mushroom forager and aspiring homesteader, Mary recently moved to the Adirondacks with her husband and Great Pyrenees to pursue their interests. She is passionate about creating a more equitable food system for the local community.
