Wood Products Development Program

ANCA’s Wood Products Development Program is staffed by Carl Golas. For more than a decade he has provided technical assistance services to primary and secondary wood products companies with the goal of increasing value-added processing in the Adirondack North Country region. In addition, ANCA has partnered with Holmes and Associates of Saranac Lake on regional planning, business development and marketing services for wood based companies.

During 2006 ANCA made significant revisions to the 1992 Forest Service publication: A Marketing Guide for Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs of Secondary-Processed Wood Products. The 1992 Guide was listed 16th on the top 25 forest products publications of the Forest Service: http://www.fpl.fs.fed.us/tmu/top_25.html.
