Eric Virkler

A native of Lowville, Eric Virkler graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in accounting and worked in public accounting, manufacturing and health care in the Syracuse area.

In 1997, Virkler returned to Lowville and worked at Lewis County General Hospital as Chief Financial Officer. He served as Administrator/Clerk/Treasurer for the Village of Lowville and currently works as the Director of Economic Development and Planning for Lewis County. Virkler and his spouse, Heidi VanZandt, own Sunnycrest Flowers in Lowville, which she operates.

Virkler is a member of a number of economic development and community organizations in Lowville and northern New York.
