Scenic Byway Community Announcements and NewsHelp Stop the Spread of Invasives on Adirondack Waterways Hello all, I am contacting you on behalf of the Adirondack North Country Association to share information that will help interested parties to secure the future of natural resources along our Scenic Byways. As Scenic Byway Manager for several of the North Country region’s touring routes, the Adirondack North Country Association encourages you to participate in stewarding the important water resources that line our roadways and contribute to the Adirondack experience for visitors and residents alike. The Adirondack North Country Association has partnered with the Nature Conservancy on Scenic Byway grant project to address the threat of invasive species to the environment and to the tourism industry. Now, we urge you to attend an important meeting on May 20th (details below and attached ) where you can learn about how to help stop the spread of invasives. You play a vital role as you are the frontline people who interact directly with those touring the region. The workshop for the tourism business community is being organized by Jones Outfitters and the Ausable River Association. I ask that you please forward this meeting announcement to any of your colleagues who might be interested in this special presentation. Sharon O'Brien Program Coordinator Dear Business Owner, If you are an outfitter, guide, marina owner, accommodations provider, or a business owner concerned about Adirondack waters, please join us on May 20th from 7-8:30pm at the Harrietstown Town Hall for a free workshop to learn about opportunities and resources available to protect our waterways. Additional information provided in the enclosed attachment.
