The northwestern area of the Adirondack North Country region is bordered by Canada, the St. Lawrence Seaway and Lake Ontario. The following Scenic Byways traverse this area; Black River Trail, Olympic Byway, and Seaway Trail. The Military Byway starts in Massena and goes to the east.
